This project explores urban color through the observation of sixty-two trash cans as part of a Color and Materials Design Experience study. The project challenges negative perceptions associated with waste by transforming discarded products and objects into a vibrant color palette and visual pattern. The collected imagery was liquefied and applied to a necktie mockup, creating a literal interpretation of a “trashy” print while highlighting the environmental significance of everyday urban waste.
